Lin Roman has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and has successfully guided clients through nearly every type of market environment, from periods of strong economic growth to times of significant volatility. Her experience across multiple market cycles throughout her career helps clients remain disciplined and focused on long term financial objectives, regardless of changing market conditions.
She has built a reputation as a respected advisor dedicated to goals of helping individuals accumulate and preserve wealth and make sound financial decisions.
Before establishing Lin Roman Wealth Management, Lin spent nearly 20 years with Wells Fargo Advisors, where she most recently served as Managing Director Investments. Earlier in her career, she also held Managing Director positions at UBS and was a pioneer as one of the first women ever named to Managing Director at Bear Stearns and Company, where she worked closely with a wide range of investors.
During her career, Lin has also participated in complex capital markets transactions, including share sales among multiple early investors following a public offering. Experiences such as these provided her with valuable insight into market structure, liquidity events, and the dynamics of large equity transactions.
Lin holds a degree from Robert Morris Business College and resides in Westport, Connecticut.
Outside of her professional work, Lin has a strong passion for gardening, which she considers both a creative outlet and a way to stay connected to nature. She also maintains a lifelong interest in astronomy and space exploration.
Lin has long supported animal welfare initiatives and has been instrumental in getting animal cruelty laws changed in Connecticut regarding the tethering and treatment of dogs. She also continues to quietly assist members of her community by helping cover veterinary expenses for pet owners facing financial hardship. Lin is also very close with her nieces, who remain an important part of her life.
