James (Jim) Tapia is a seasoned Senior Financial Advisor with extensive experience across multiple areas of the financial markets. Throughout his career, Jim has developed strong expertise in institutional trading, capital markets, insurance planning, and portfolio strategy. His clients included hedge funds, money managers, pensions, and family offices. He brings a complementary background not only in equities but also in fixed income strategy and income structuring, further strengthening a deep focus on income producing investments. In addition, he maintains long standing relationships within the institutional investment community, offering clients broader insight and perspective.

Before joining LPL Financial, Jim spent 24 years working at the Wells Fargo office near Rockefeller Center in New York City. During those years, he earned a reputation as a thoughtful, capable, and highly dedicated financial advisor. His approach is grounded in careful analysis, individualized planning, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is right for every client he serves.

Jim is a business graduate of Bryant University and lives on Long Island. He is a proud parent of three children and spent many years coaching sports, including basketball at the AAU level, an experience he found especially meaningful. Outside of work, he is an avid sports fan who enjoys hockey, baseball, basketball, and football, and he especially values time spent on the water and the beautiful beaches of Long Island.
